Friendship Until the End, Jack Russell Terriers have formed their own “band of brothers."
Kansas City, MO - infoZine - The Humane Society of the United States concludes that “between 3 and 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year in the United States simply because too many people give up their pets and too few people adopt from shelters. Because there is limited space at shelters, staff members sometimes need to make very hard decisions to euthanize animals who haven't been adopted.” Many times, the hardest groups to adopt from shelters are the heartbreaking cases of dogs and cats that come to the shelter in pairs, or through the shelter experience, form inseparable bonds with one another that can not be replaced.
Lost Dog Registry, a nonprofit group in Kansas City is working to place a desperate needs case or “inseparable pair” in the next upcoming week. These dogs have formed bonds at Half Way Home Pet Adoptions located at 4400 Raytown Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64129 and desperately need to remain in each other’s lives. According to many experts “The decision to adopt a pet is one that shouldn't be taken lightly. However, the decision to adopt two or more pets at a time is one that perhaps could be taken more lightly. For many pet lovers, having two pets does not necessarily mean more work.”
Mutt and Jeff are a pair of Jack Russell Terriers who have formed their own “band of brothers.” They are in a “fox hole” and are in desperate need of rescue. “Mutt” is an older full grown Jack Russell Terrier who shows the ropes to “Jack,” a young soldier coming up through the ranks. They must not be separated. Anyone looking to adopt a Jack Russell Terrier is encouraged to contact Half Way Home Pet Adoptions because you'll help save the lives of FOUR animals—the pair you adopt, and the two homeless animals somewhere that can be rescued because of space you helped to create.
If you are interested in adopting Mutt & Jeff or other new companion(s), please visit Half Way Home Pet Adoptions at 4400 Raytown Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64129. There are about 100 dogs there daily hoping to find a loving, stable and compassionate new home. Due to time and space constraints, only about half of the animals at the shelter are featured on Petfinder and only about half of Halfway Home’s animals make it out of there alive.
