Dr. Brown with his dog, Jolly: Photo Credit: Larry F. LevensonDr. Brown is from Oberlin, Kansas. He graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. After graduation he trained for two years at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital (AEVH) in Denver, Colorado, where he worked with board-certified specialists in the areas of surgery, internal medicine and neurology. It was at AEVH that he developed an interest in surgery, which continues to this day.

Dr. Brown joined Kansas City Veterinary Care in 1987. He and his wife, Sarah, have three daughters, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Katherine. Family pets include a standard poodle, a cockatiel and a rabbit.
